21 Jul Victory is my birth name
Victory is my birth name. My mom was going into labor and was experiencing complications. She and my dad already brought three children into the world, I was going to be their 4th, but they needed a miracle. They found that miracle with a midwife that believed God with them. After many months of carrying me and many long hours of labor, on Sept 1, 1994, Thalia Boyd beat the odds, and gave birth to a little baby girl, and named her Victory.
Victory is a lifestyle, not a stage name. It’s not something I decided to be, it’s something I had to be in order to live. My life is a movie. There’s so much that’s unique about my existence, however, there are many things about me that are common to every human being. Struggles and triumphs, fears and faith, doubts and hope… it’s all included in this life I’m living, and usually you can find it all in my music. For the first time, I’ve decided to chronicle my life outside of just the songs I sing. You’ll be able to follow along right here on my blog, Victory Chronicles. My intention is to share in real time how I overcome in my life and hopefully inspire you to do the same.
